Since their first voyage in February 2008  The Pirates of St. Piran have always tried to raise money for worthwhile causes. We have performed for free at various fund raising events which have raised tens of thousands of pounds for what we consider to be good causes. Such as The RNLI, Tanya's Courage, Precious Lives, Shelter Box, Help For Heros, Cildren in Need and The Merlin Project. In addition to this we have also had our own collection buckets and we have released our own Pirate CDs. £3 from every sale of our 1st album goes to the RNLI. £3 from every sale of our 2nd album goes to The Little Harbour Childrens Hospice in St. Austell. We are currently recording a Third CD and £4 from every copy of this one will go to the Cornwall Air Abulance Service.

So far our collection buckets and CD sales have raised over £7,000 for charity including

The RNLI - £3,400
Precious Lives - £1,075
Shelterbox - £325
Cancer Research - £205
Help for Heros - £270
Mevagissey Harbour Trustees - £350
Mevagissey Aquarium - £350
Mevagissey Museum - £350
Marie Curie - £400

As from 2012 Santander Bank have agreed to match all the money we raise. So every £1 you give to us, means that £2 will go to which ever charity we are collecting for at the time. so please give generously.

We have also taken part in numerous school visits and educational events free of charge.

We enjoy what we do,
the public enjoys watching us and
we raise money for good causes.
This one of those very rare and magical situations in life where everybody wins.

We would like to give a huge thank you to all of you wonderful people who have donated generously to our collections and bought our CD.
