John "Hellraiser" Henry

John was born the son of a fisherman in the village of Portloe 1694.
Not content to be a fisherman all his life, at the age of 14, he stowed away on a merchant ship from Falmouth bound for Jamaica. Once he arrived, he signed up on a small ship "Kingston" , on which he served until he was 24, when the ship was captured by Jack Rackham (Calico Jack). He was given the choice of joining Calico crew or death . After joining Calico he excelled at being a pirate, he soon built up a reputation of being bloodthirsty and quite a bit of a hellraiser with his shipmates when boarding other ships. It was Calico that fist called him Hellraiser Henry.
Upon Calico Jacks death in 1720 and with his reputation preceding him, he was quickly taken up by new sloop (St. Helena) and crew captained by Vincent Desneur (a disgraced French nobleman) where he lived up to his name. After serving two years, Vincent was killed when boarding a Spanish merchant ship and John was voted captain.
It didn't take long to build up another reputation of being able to disappear after every raid. It didn't take long for him and his crew to get rich.
John was one of the few pirates who was able to retire, and return to portloe a
very  wealthy man, Where he lived out the rest of his days.
However old pirates never really retire and he continued to sail with the Pirates of St. Piran on their many adventures all along the coast of old Kernow.
