Seaweed Sally
The pirate crew discovered a young woman washed up on a beach in Norfolk when they were bringing some rum ashore and trying to avoid the Customs & Excise Men. She was lying unconsious and completely tangled up in seaweed. At first they were not keen to go near her as they thought she was a mermaid and mermaids were always considered an ill omem by sailors. It was only when Finnigan Silvalus took pity on her and managed to untangle the seaweed that they discovered she was human. She had no memory of where she had come from, how she had got there or who she was, so they took her in and nursed her back to health. Since then she has always been known as Seaweed Sally and some of the crew are not sure that she isn't in fact a mermaid.... they keep a close eye on her just in case she sprouts fins and flippers.
